Promotion of Environmentally Friendly Production Methods
At all verification visits in the production plants of the suppliers of its licensees, Label STEP also analyses the ecological aspects of the carpet production. If necessary, improvement measures are stimulated and promoted by consultation and transfer of expert knowledge.
Where the necessary measures exceed the possibilities of the local companies, Label STEP can also run environmental projects, for example, for the reduction of environmental pollution through dyeing and carpet washing plants. Apart from that, ecological aspects and the sensitisation for environmental subjects are also an important element of numerous other Label STEP projects.
